Our Program
CCLM is committed to cancer lifestyle management that is based on crucial published scientific studies.

Using Lifestyle Management to Improve Better Cancer Outcomes
Our program is organized around six lifestyle areas, which we call “gateways” because each offers a practical way to support the body’s internal environment and help patients participate more actively in their care.
Each gateway supports a different part of the healing process. Stress reduction practices can calm the nervous system and support healthier patterns of cortisol, inflammation, immune signaling, and neurotransmitter activity. Nutrition supports blood sugar balance, insulin sensitivity, the gut microbiome, nutrient absorption, and inflammatory pathways. Physical activity improves muscle metabolism, cardiovascular function, immune surveillance, insulin resistance, and energy regulation. Emotional wellbeing, social connection, and positive cognitions shape mood, resilience, nervous system balance, and the support patients need while navigating illness.
Together, these gateways create a coordinated approach to supporting the body and mind during cancer treatment and beyond.
Program Components and Objectives
Building Community
At CCLM, we build intentional community among participants, recognizing that shared experience strengthens resilience. Even those with robust support systems benefit from connection with a like-minded cohort. Cancer is a long road, and sustained support matters.
What to Expect
Your individualized program includes more than 75 touchpoints over eight weeks through a coordinated blend of one-on-one sessions, live virtual group programming, cohort support, educational deep dives that build cancer literacy, and generous opportunities for Q&A.

Each participant begins with an individual consultation with their team leader, including review of relevant labs and personal goals. Ongoing one-on-one sessions, along with individualized exercise, nutrition, stress reduction, and emotional wellbeing consultations, allow the program to be tailored to each person’s needs, diagnosis, treatment context, and readiness for change — providing direct access to our clinical team and the connection of a small cohort.

Group programming includes educational deep dives across CCLM’s lifestyle gateways, helping participants understand how lifestyle factors may influence cancer biology, immune function, inflammation, metabolism, stress physiology, and emotional resilience.

Participants are supported in moving toward 30 minutes of exercise five days per week and 30 minutes of stress reduction five days per week, consistent with national exercise standards. Exercise sessions build endurance and strength, with attention to aerobic capacity, muscle mass, safety, and gradual progression. Stress reduction classes include meditation, yoga, breathwork, and nervous-system regulation practices tailored to people navigating cancer.

Progress is supported through measurement and remeasurement. Fitness trackers and wearables help participants monitor activity, heart rate, sleep, recovery, and related health behaviors, while relevant labs help deepen understanding of each person’s biological terrain. Together, these data points help the team personalize recommendations and help patients understand how daily practices affect their body over time.

During the eight weeks, participants remain connected through cohort support sessions and community-building activities. This “tribe” structure is designed to reduce isolation, foster accountability, and create an environment in which patients can learn, practice, ask questions, and move forward together.
